Would you love a day filled with herbal tea harvesting, improving your mobility in the garden, and breathing in the farm fresh air with a QiGong session?
We have you covered in the upcoming “Easy Tea-sy Move & Pick Workshop” at Lochland Botanicals in August. Join Anna MacIntosh from AMalignment and our farm staff to learn how to harvest your favourite tea herbs we grow here at the farm, while also taking a movement class all about improving the various bits of body moves we need to sustain the garden chores close to the ground.
The 2.5 hr workshop will start with a tea harvesting and functional movement class that will get you down and dirty with the basics of squatting fundamentals. We will take a cool down and refresh break for some water, shade, and cold brewed herbal tea (if you bring your own travel mug), and then we will finish with a 20-30 minute QiGong practice to finish off your farm day with some flowing moves.
How to come prepared for the workshop:
Mobility considerations for participants:
The workshop will require walking, light farm harvesting work, and getting up and down from the ground.
Anyone medically cleared for movement outdoors are welcome (adults – over 18 years old or 16 if taking the workshop with their parent/guardian)
Participants will also be able to Build-A-Bouquet, be treated with herbal refreshments and snacks, and receive a bag of farm goodies to take home and enjoy.
