Description
Yarrow is, simply, one of the most useful plants there is. Yarrow has styptic properties (stops bleeding), is antibacterial, analgesic, and so much more.
Named after Achilles, as it was widely used by Trojan soldiers to stop bleeding of battle wounds and speed healing, yarrow is invaluable as a first aid tool. Yarrow speeds healing of bruises, reduces inflammation, and helps minimize scarring.
Yarrow also has antispasmodic properties, which lends itself to aid in IBS and other intestinal issues. These same properties also help reduce menstrual cramps.
Yarrow may be rubbed onto the skin (for bruising, inflammation), on wounds (to stop bleeding, minimize scarring, prevent infection), or ingested (for digestive treatment or menstrual cramps). 30ml per 250ml of water is sufficient, 1-2x per day as needed.
Yarrow is not suggested for hypertensive or pregnant women.
